I am an associate professor with over 9 years of research experience in the fields of Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and telecommunications. I hold two Master's degrees—one in Multimedia Content Production for Audiovisual and Communications, and another in Counselling and Leadership in Education and Professional Development. I earned my PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology in 2022, with a thesis focused on IoT, followed by a postdoctoral internship in artificial intelligence at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), Université Côte d'Azur, Sophia Antipolis, France. In 2024, I received the Ministry Order for habilitation, which grants me the right to supervise PhD students.

Throughout my career, I’ve actively pursued international collaboration and advanced training. I participated in the Cyber-Physical Systems Summer School in Toulouse, France (2018), where I received the Best Poster Award, and the IoT meets AI Summer School in Munich, Germany (2019), where I was honored with the Best Implementation Challenge Award. In 2019, my project "Wearable system for support in motor rehabilitation and emergency alerting" was recognized with the Eliza Leonida Zamfirescu Special Award at the Honeywell Techallenge competition. In 2022, I received the Contribution to Industrial Research Excellence award from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (Japan), Aarhus University (Denmark), and Yokosuka Research Park (Japan).

As a reviewer and technical program committee member, I contribute to several top-tier journals and conferences in communications, IoT, and AI, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Scientific Reports (Springer Nature), ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications, and Applications, SoftwareX, Elsevier Computer Science Reviews, and Elsevier Measurement.

I also hold a postgraduate degree in Public Innovation and Smart Cities Strategies (2021) and am a certified A1/A3 drone pilot (2022). I am the author of one patent and have a second one pending. I’ve been involved in over 20 national and international research projects and, since 2023, I have been leading four national research grants.

In 2023, I became the first historical winner in the Computer Science category of the L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science Romania – Young Talents Program. I currently coordinate the Artificial Intelligence of Things topic in the Vodafone Innovation Hub at POLITEHNICA Bucharest and lead the AIoT Explorer research team, where I strive to bridge academic research with industry-driven innovation.
